I'm going to seriously try to not be sappy 'cause I know y'all love me more when I'm crazy/sassy/sleep deprived. Right?

I thought about making two separate posts today but I love WiP Weds. And it's one of the things that's kept me motivated to at least make *one* post a week so of course I wanted to wrap it and the beginning of my blogiversary celebration all together.
One Year!
A year ago today I made my first post. It was supposed to start on the 1st...but I missed it. (In fact I joked yesterday about that theme).
This lil' space of mine has really helped me to figure out where I want to go and what I want to do with myself.
It's given me a reason to hoard more fabric.
And more importantly it's made me feel connected.
So thank you. For that part. I look forward to what y'all have to say every. single. day.

I've got three giveaways planned in celebration of my blog lasting a whole year.
And today's might just possibly be my fave.
You see. I ordered a book. Then I ordered two of them.
So that I could give one to you.
You've seen this book right? I certainly hope so!
Also. As long as I remember to tweet her and remind her when the authors of the book are all together at Quilt Market I'll be able to send the winner along a signed bookplate.

I've been so busy I've honestly barely had the time to really sit down with this book. But I've already found something I'm absolutely in love with.
This quilt needs to be in my life. Katy calls it Orange Soda. I kinda wanna make one in purple. And call it Grape Soda. ...I know...I'm so clever.
I love this thing so much I almost want to bug her and see if I can do a QAL. Maybe.

That's just one *page* in this book. It's filled with full quilts and single blocks and just pure awesome. I'll be pulling a lot of inspiration from here (and prolly my next bee block).

Loving those rainbow colours - favourite cake has got to be carrot cake. A monkey? Hmmm I'd rather not, but if we had one, it would have to be called "Monkey" (or PG - I think I may have watched too many PG Tips ads........)

ReplyDeleteYay for 1 year. Congrats and loving the quilt top. I Love cake too much! And unfortunately I love too many types of cake to mention! I don't think I could ever have a monkey after seeing how vicious they can be when I traveled Asia but if the boys ever have a make believe monkey we might call him Burt!

I'm crossing my fingers for this one! right now, I'd love a piece of chocolate buttermilk cake {I know that sounds weird, but trust me, it is the best chocolate cake you will ever sink a fork into} with fresh strawberries mashed with brown sugar on top and a dollop of sourcream. Yum! And if we had a pet monkey around here, it would probably be named Darth Vader or Death Fury - both were top contenders when we were naming our pet rabbit :)

ReplyDeletemy favourite cake has got to be a plain vanilla sponge. No icing (frosting to you), no buttercream layers, no fruit fillings...nothing but pure, unadulterated fluffy cake. Same goes for ice-cream - if it ain't vanilla, it's got no business being in my mouth!
