Do you doodle?

I don't think I can doodle. It's certainly something that I try to do. But I think that I force it. I think about my dinosaur pictures for *hours* before I even pick up a pencil. Which is silly, honestly. They're really not that complicated.

I think too much.

I keep sketchbooks beside the bed for nights when I get home and I just want to draw. There's a stack of them. I think they're 1% full. Most of the time I end up writing weird notes in them.

Today I went searching through my books and pictures for the last actual doodle that I did.

This was August 30, 2010. I did it while watching Doctor Who and gave it to my bestie.

I don't know if I'll ever figure out why I can't just sit down and randomly sketch something. Maybe I'll search for some sort of drawing exercises to help me out. It really wouldn't hurt. And I have always been that nerd that actually likes homework.

  1. You should look at Zentangles... http://www.zentangle.com/index.php

Doodling. Somewhat structured. Definitely intentional. Always Inspirational.

You do not need to buy their "Kits", or take one of their classes. There is enough information on their site to get started. You can create your own "kit" for much less than theirs...

    Just a thought.
